Privacy Policy

ATX Home Rescue ("we," "us," or "our") operates atxhomerescue.com and provides flat-priced handyman services in Northwest Austin, Texas. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

When you chat with our booking agent (Ranger) or submit a work request, we collect what you choose to share, which typically includes:

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, we collect limited technical information when you visit, including IP address, browser type, referring page, and pages viewed. We use privacy-friendly analytics that do not set tracking cookies or build cross-site profiles.

Information from third parties

We use Cloudflare Turnstile to confirm visitors are humans (not bots) before sending chat messages. Turnstile may collect minimal device signals to make that determination. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

2. How we use information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising on third-party platforms.

3. Service providers we share with

We share information only with vendors that help us operate. Each is contractually limited to using your information for the service they provide to us.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The site uses your browser's localStorage and sessionStorage only to remember your in-progress chat with Ranger so you can refresh the page without losing your spot. This data stays on your device and clears after seven days of inactivity. You can clear it anytime in your browser settings.

5. How long we keep information

We keep work-request and customer records as long as we have an active business relationship with you, plus the period required for tax and dispute resolution (typically up to seven years). Chat transcripts older than 90 days are deleted from our systems. You can request earlier deletion — see Section 7.

6. Security

We use HTTPS across the site, store secrets server-side, rate-limit our chat backend, and apply bot protection on every chat request. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to reduce risk and respond quickly to issues.

8. Texas residents

Under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, Texas residents have specific rights to access, correct, delete, and port their personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address above. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our response.

9. Children

The site is intended for adults arranging home services. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent change. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage for at least 30 days.
