Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of atxhomerescue.com (the "Site") and the handyman services provided by ATX Home Rescue ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Site or requesting work from us, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who we serve
We provide flat-priced handyman services in Northwest Austin, Texas. Our service area is limited to the following ZIP codes: 78726, 78727, 78729, 78730, 78731, 78750, and 78759. We may decline work outside this area at our discretion.
2. The Ranger booking agent
"Ranger" is an AI-powered chat assistant that helps you describe your job, see flat prices from our published catalog, and submit a work request. Ranger's responses are generated by a language model and are intended for convenience, not as a binding contract. The final scope, price, and schedule of any work are confirmed by us in writing through Jobber after we review your request.
3. Quotes, pricing, and changes
- Flat pricing. Prices shown for catalog packages are flat for the scope described. They include labor and standard materials unless the package says otherwise.
- Site-unseen quotes. Quotes generated before we see the work in person are good-faith estimates based on what you described. If on-site conditions are materially different (hidden damage, code issues, access problems, surfaces or materials not described), we will pause and re-quote before continuing. You can decline the revised quote without obligation.
- Add-ons. Work added during the visit is quoted before it begins. Nothing is billed without your approval.
- Materials we don't carry. Specialty parts, fixtures you choose, or non-standard finishes are billed at our cost plus a small handling fee, disclosed in the quote.
4. Booking, deposits, and payment
Submitting a work request through the Site does not create a booking. We confirm bookings in writing through Jobber, which we use to manage quotes, schedules, and invoices. A deposit may be required to hold a date for larger jobs; the deposit is credited toward the final invoice.
Payment terms, accepted methods, and any deposit amount are stated on the Jobber quote you receive. Payment is due on completion unless the quote says otherwise.
5. Scheduling, cancellations, and rescheduling
- You may reschedule or cancel up to 48 hours before the scheduled start at no charge.
- Cancellations or reschedules within 48 hours may incur a trip fee equal to one hour of labor.
- If our crew arrives and cannot access the property or perform the work due to circumstances on your end, a trip fee applies.
- If we need to reschedule (weather, illness, parts), we will notify you as soon as possible and rebook at no charge.
6. Workmanship guarantee
We stand behind our work. If something we installed or repaired fails due to our workmanship within 30 days of completion, we will return and fix it at no charge. This guarantee does not cover:
- Damage caused by misuse, accident, or normal wear and tear
- Failures of customer-supplied materials or fixtures
- Pre-existing conditions we did not work on
- Work performed by anyone other than us after our visit
7. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information about the job, your address, and access
- Ensure an adult (18+) is present or arrange access in writing
- Secure pets, valuables, and fragile items in the work area
- Disclose known hazards (asbestos, lead paint, mold, electrical issues, structural concerns) before work begins
- Obtain HOA approval where required for exterior work
8. Work we don't do
We are a handyman service, not a licensed general contractor. We don't perform work that requires a Texas state license we do not hold, including:
- Permitted electrical, plumbing, or HVAC work beyond what Texas allows for handyman services
- Structural alterations, foundation work, or roofing
- Gas line work
- Asbestos, lead, or hazardous-material abatement
If your job requires a licensed trade, we'll tell you and, where possible, refer you to a partner.
9. Acceptable use of the Site
You agree not to:
- Use the Site or Ranger for anything other than its intended purpose
- Attempt to bypass rate limits, bot protection, or other security measures
- Submit false, misleading, or abusive content
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or republish the Site or Ranger's outputs without permission
We may block access or refuse service for any violation.
10. Intellectual property
The Site's design, text, photos, and the Ranger persona are owned by ATX Home Rescue. You may not copy or republish them without permission, except for normal browser caching and personal-use sharing of public pages.
11. Disclaimers
The Site and Ranger are provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Ranger's outputs are AI-generated and may contain errors. Always confirm scope, price, and schedule with our written confirmation before relying on them.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the Site or our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific job that gave rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under Texas law, including liability for gross negligence or willful misconduct.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Site, or your provision of false information to us.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
Before filing a lawsuit, you agree to contact us at sales@atxhomerescue.com and give us 30 days to resolve the issue.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent change. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
